CENTRAL FLORIDA CRITTER OF THE DAY: Black-and-Yellow Argiope Spider (Argiope aurantia)

This is a juvenile, just transitioning into adulthood. Also called garden spiders, writing spiders or yellow garden spiders, these guys are very beneficial in the garden as I often see them eating grasshoppers and other pests.
