Five-banded Tiphiid wasp (Myzinum quinquecinctum)

CENTRAL FLORIDA CRITTER OF THE DAY: Five-banded Tiphiid wasp (Myzinum quinquecinctum)

The Tiphiid Wasps are parasites of grubs so are beneficial. This is the male of the species.

Shown on Florida Native Plant: Wand Goldenrod (Solidago stricta)
