Arabesque Orbweaver (Neoscona arabesca)

CENTRAL FLORIDA CRITTER OF THE DAY: Arabesque Orbweaver (Neoscona arabesca)

One of the Spotted Orbweavers. Must be a gal since she is on an egg sac. Built overlooking the pond. Very small size.

Larval host: Blue Mud Wasp (Chalybion californicum)

Diet: insects

Learn: http://bugguide.net/node/view/1991

Shown on Florida Native Plant: BEAKSEDGE (Rhynchospora sp.)

My take: Don’t be Spooked by Spiders
