CENTRAL FLORIDA CRITTER OF THE DAY: Longlegged Flies (Condylostylus mundus)

These members of diptera are very tiny but you can’t miss that bright blue iridescent color.

beneficial: Longlegged flies are predatory in both larval and adult stages. larvae of some can mine stems of grass.
