Leaf-footed Bug (Acanthocephala sp.) nymph

CENTRAL FLORIDA CRITTER OF THE DAY: Leaf-footed Bug (Acanthocephala sp.) nymph

Based on the antenna coloring it is either A. femorata or A. declivis. I also get A.terminalis as a regular visitor.

Feeds on seeds/nuts/fruits. Natural Enemies include Wasps (Parasites on eggs) and Tachinid Flies (lay eggs on adults) so it helps provide for future pollinators.

Shown on Florida Native Plant: Bidens alba
