one of the Owlet Moths (Superfamily Noctuoidea; Family Erebidae)
larval hosts:  blackberry, raspberry, salmonberry, rose, willow, and oak. sensitive plant, cherry, chokeberry, plums, hawthorn, wisteria and occasionally forbes.
